Cambridge University Pakistan Society presents

Shahkaar 2019

The Cambridge University Pakistan Society invites *YOU* to our annual charity ball, this year our committee members have been working tirelessly to create a ‘masterpiece’ of an event that reflects vintage Pakistan in all its elements. Get ready to experience a celebration of Pakistani culture on the grandest of scales. From food & drink to fashion and dance, experience first hand the rich cultural history and heritage Pakistan has to offer on what is set to be a night to remember. Here’s a selection of what we’ve got lined up for the night:

-A soft drinks and canapés reception to begin the evening.

-A vast selection of food stalls including candy floss, waffles, a chocolate fountain, iced gola, lassi as well as halal Pick n’ Mix.
Henna artists and a themed photobooth.

-A DJ supplying great music throughout the evening.

-A delicious three-course meal consisting of a wide variety of Pakistani dishes (see menu below).

-Our BIGGEST fashion show yet, showcasing the intricate design and skill that goes into the creation of Pakistani attire! Partnered designers include Alkaram and Saiqa.

-A charity raffle featuring prizes from All Saints, Saiqa and more!

-And last but most certainly not least, the committee dance which our committee members have spent countless hours choreographing and rehearsing – purely for your entertainment.

-Let’s not forget the flagship CHILL of the year. At midnight we’ll be heading to a JCR for a massive chill until 5am-ish. We’ll hit up BRUNCH the next morning before students from other unis leave.
